SVBC Endorses Santa Clara County Parks Park Charter Fund, Measure A
In January 2016, the SVBC Policy Advisory Committee approved a request to endorse the Santa Clara County Parks Park Charter Fund, Measure A, which will be on the ballot in June 2016.The Santa Clara County Parks Charter Fund has provided sustainable funding for the county’s park system since 1972. It is not a new tax, but a renewal, allowing Santa Clara County Parks to operate and maintain parkland throughout the county and develop new parks and trails.
How-To Report Road Issues in San Jose
Are you tired of dodging cars because there’s a car parked in the bike lane? Did you get yet another flat from that huge pothole? As a bicycle commuter in San Jose I deal with issues like these on a regular basis, which is why I joined SVBC. I wanted to learn how I could help make it safer for bicyclists. At a recent SVBC meeting in San Jose we came up with real solutions for cyclists dealing with road issues like parked cars, potholes, and debris.
Belmont Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan Update
The City of Belmont is in the process of creating a new Comprehensive Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan and recently surveyed its residents as part of this process.
