Lyft Responds to Feedback on Bay Wheels Membership and Pricing Changes
This has been a week of ups and downs regarding bike share as Bay Wheels, owned by Lyft, has announced changes to its programs that will impact community members, especially low income members. We continue work with City of San Jose and Lyft to make sure the Bay Wheels bike share system serves all residents, regardless of income.
San Mateo County's Measure W/A Strategic Plan Update
We are about to mark the one-year anniversary of the passage of Measure W. Over this year, SVBC has been working with San Mateo County Transportation Authority (SMCTA) on the Strategic Plan for implementation of the funding measure. The Draft Strategic Plan 2020-2024 is now open for comments thru Nov. 15 and will be approved in early December. Check out the blog for more info and how to provide feedback!
SVBC brings SMC leaders to learn by bike from SMART rail-with-trail
Last month, SVBC brought a contingent of San Mateo County stakeholders for a bike ride fieldtrip to the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit train and parallel multiuse trail to learn from the experts on how this system is being built.

Dumbarton Corridor Studies Roll On
There is a new phase of the Dumbarton Corridor studies, which will soon have additional public outreach opportunities to share your view. SVBC will continue to work to see dedicated places for people to bike safely on the corridor alongside transit as well as ensure that the project benefits the community.
