Now Hiring: Bicycle Parking Program Manager
Reports To: Deputy Director
Status: Nonexempt hourly aprx 20-30/hrs per week

Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) is a non-profit organization that is building healthier and more just communities by making bicycling safe and accessible for everyone in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.
SVBC is hiring a Program Manager to lead our bicycle parking program. The organization currently provides valet bicycle parking services under contract with approximately 8-10 event organizers in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. The successful candidate will manage 40+ bicycle parking opportunities per year, including contracting with event organizers as well as overseeing a team of part-time staff members and volunteers. Responsibilities will include:
● Read all training documentation to understand the scope of the program
● Coordinate events using SVBC’s event and inventory tracking spreadsheets, Google forms, payroll system, website back-end, and Salesforce
● Manage contract negotiations and maintain positive working relationships with event organizers Send invoicing information to Office Manager in a timely manner
● Ensure event organizers fulfill their contracted responsibilities to promote the bike parking service and provide a suitable fenced area and other supplies
● Schedule paid, part-time Bike Valet Supervisors for each event
● Communicate all the details about each event to the responsible corral supervisor using spreadsheet and email
● Recruit, train, and support bike parking staff as required
● Recruit volunteers with assistance from SVBC staff
● Inventory and re-stock all materials and resources needed for each event
● Approve payroll hours for team of part-timers
● Work any events that the part-time Bike Corral Supervisors cannot cover. Working an event involves:
o Inventory materials and keep needed records for each event
o Coordinate transportation of materials to and from SVBC office
o Train and delegate responsibilities to bike valet volunteers
o Effectively communicate the mission, vision, and programs of SVBC to users
Qualifications
● Previous experience working with volunteers
● Familiar with working in an office environment
● Highly attentive to details
● Ability to communicate within a team to achieve the greater goals
● Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
● Current, clean California drivers’ license and auto insurance
● Access to cell phone
● Able to sit for extended periods of time
● Able to lift 50-75 pounds

Additional preferred qualifications:
● Prior experience with bicycle valet services
Compensation and benefits:
Hourly rate of $30. Option to participate in sponsored 401k with 1% match. Pro-rated PTO. Commuter reimbursement.
