SVBC has been pushing for safer bike facilities along El Camino Real for years. Three cities (Santa Clara, Palo Alto, and Redwood City) are in various stages of planning for improvements to El Camino Real and the cities need your feedback. Join Sept. 8 Peninsula Bikeway to Advise on North-South Route
Do you dream of a connected, low-stress north-south bike route from San Francisco to San José and beyond? This is the shared goal of the Peninsula Bikeway, a project of the Managers Mobility Partnership between Mountain View, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Redwood City, and Stanford that is having a kick-off event this Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10 am to 2 pm in Menlo Park.

How Bike Lanes Lead to Increased Business
SVBC supports business efforts to encourage employees and customers to bike and we have updated our fact sheet describing the benefits of better bicycle infrastructure and programs and how to improve bicycling. It offers a summary of exciting opportunities to request free bike rack installation, participate in bicycle-related community events, achieve bicycle-friendly workplace certification, and more.
Caltrans District 4 Bike Plan Now Available
The wait is over! After at least a year of planning, outreach, and mapping, the Caltrans District 4 Bike Plan is now available. Check out our blog for more information on the prioritized list and map of proposed bike projects on state highways throughout the Bay Area. This vision will help Caltrans and local jurisdictions when implementing projects.
Submit a Session Proposal for the 8th Annual Silicon Valley Bike Summit
We are soliciting proposals for session and speaker ideas for the 8th Annual Silicon Valley Bicycle Summit. The Bike Summit is a weekday, one-day conference intended to educate the community on key issues related to bicycling in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties as well as bring together people working in this field. Proposals are due March 31, 2018.
