Each year Climate Ride cyclists have provided significant support to SVBC. Last year, a single six-person team raised $16,997, and they and other Climate Ride participants raised a total of $23,000 to help fund our community work. See more about SVBC and Climate Ride.
Thank you to the 2023 team of David Coale, Tom McCalmont, Kush Mittal, Chris Prior, Frank Viggiano and Julia Wagner, and all of the other 2023 participants!
“I am quite a fan of the Climate Ride,” said Coale, who has taken part multiple times since 2011 and has not yet made a decision about 2024.
“Biking is a solution to climate change. I wanted to support something cool,” Coale said. While riding over a period of days, you get to know people involved in many aspects of solving for the environment and future. “It’s a bunch of like-minded folks and it’s a real uplifting event to have so many people working on so many aspects of climate change.”
Not able to tackle the 2024 Climate Ride? You can still join the supporters of SVBC’s work for safe and accessible biking for all. Donate today! And if you have an employer who matches donations take advantage to double your impact.
