Other Engagement Opportunities

Women Bike Book Club
In May of this year, we teamed up with the San Jose Public Library to launch the Women Bike Book Club (WBBC). This Club is intended to be a source of information, inspiration and community around shared passions of biking and discussion for all self-identifying women. We are casual and friendly :) Join us and bring your ideas for future discussions and/or get togethers. You do not need to be a resident of San Jose to attend - all geographies welcome. WBBC meets on the last Wednesday of every month from 6-7pm via Zoom.

Create and Curate Rides
In August, we launched our Ride Spot page and we need your help to create new rides. Ride Spot allows us to curate bike routes that will hopefully remove one of the barriers to riding – route planning. In building these routes, we seek spaces and places that are interesting, scenic, and user friendly routes tailored for newer riders. The routes utilize bike lanes, trails and residential areas where traffic is calmer. Distances span between 2-15 miles and include libraries, parks, areas of cultural interest, and of course, treat stops! You’ll currently find rides in areas from Gilroy to Mountain View but we need to amass more routes.

Want to help? Put your adventurous self to work planning some fun routes to be featured on our Ride Spot page. In particular, we’d love to include some rides in San Mateo County and North and South Santa Clara County. Contact programs@bikesiliconvalley.org
