Measure B Funds are flowing

Cities throughout the county are grateful that they can start improving infrastructure with Measure B $$$. Photo Credit: VTAThe legal challenges to Measure B spending are over after two long years! Last week, VTA gladly announced that approximately $360 million dollars, collected from Santa Clara County residents since April 2017, are now available to spend on critical transportation infrastructure needs. SVBC was an active participant in a coalition of organizations, including VTA,  who worked diligently getting Measure B passed in 2016. Soon we get to see the promised improvements in bicycling and pedestrian infrastructure. Thanks again to everyone who helped make this success possible. Measure B will generate almost $250 Million dollars for bicycle and pedestrian improvements. Overall, 2016 Measure B is anticipated to generate $6.3 billion in 2017 dollars for transportation improvements over the next 30 years. (More info)
