Goodbye Bike to Work Day, and thanks for all the memories...

Another fantastic Bike to Work Day has come and gone! Thanks to the dozens of sponsors, hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of participants!

This year we saw an almost 13% increase in participation in Santa Clara County and a whopping 19% rise in San Mateo County participation. Riders were greeted by 63 Energizer Stations in Santa Clara County and 23 in San Mateo County. Talk about support!

The City of San José saw a great turnout for their free helmets and bike tune-ups at the Martin Luther King Junior Library.

The weather was perfect - there's a reason Bike Month falls in May! A little morning chill gave way to sun and warmth. Commuters all over Silicon Valley and the Peninsula enjoyed easy riding, pleasant perks, and the community vibe that comes with pedaling with your neighbors.

The end of the day brought Peninsula pedalers, and even some dedicated Santa Clara County cyclists, to our Bike Away From Work Bash at Depot Cafe at the San Carlos Caltrain station. Thanks to Mary for letting us use the space, and thanks to everyone who showed up and enjoyed themselves!
