Public comments needed for South San Francisco bicycle master plan

The City of South San Francisco’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) held a special meeting on September 14, 2009. The planning consultant working with BPAC and City staff, Alta Planning + Design, presented an overview of the SSF Bicycle Master Plan, which included descriptions of the types of bikeways, existing facilities, proposed facilities, and prioritization criteria. The presentation ended with the audience dividing up into two groups and marking up large maps with their ideas for bicycle projects.

Although the meeting was very successful and the City received valuable input from those that attended, it was suggested to hold a public comment period to allow for additional contribution from those unable to attend.

The City will receive comments on the Bicycle Master Plan through October 2, 2009. All comments should be directed to:
