Support Emergency Funding for Public Transit

SVBC supports public transit as a crucial way to get around and to extend trips for people biking. Right now, due to coronavirus, public transit ridership has declined up to 90% and fare revenue and sales tax revenue will drastically decline. See below for links to sign two petitions and how to contact your state and federal representatives to support funding for public transit operations. We don't want these public services to disappear. We need a functioning transit system for essential trips now and to restart our economy in a way that tackles the climate crisis.  Please tell our state and federal representatives that we need emergency funding for public transit, especially "transit operations" - the funding to keep service running.Federal Funding
