"The Silicon Valley Bike Summit is the one day out of the year you won't want to miss to learn, engage in rich conversation, and ideate around how to advance bicycle safety and access in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Plus, you'll get to meet others passionate about promoting pedal powered transportation in a fun and interactive environment!" – Chris Lepe, San Jose resident and Senior Community Planner at TransForm

“I'm excited to attend the bike summit every year because it gives me a chance to learn about the many interesting transportation projects going on in the local area.  The summit is a great opportunity to interact with the dedicated people who are working passionately to encourage active transportation through programs and infrastructure. The variety of attendees from the public and private sectors, as well as interested parties from the general public, provide a broad perspective of the challenges we all face together as a community.” –Lloyd Cha, bicycle advocate

“The summit provides educators with the opportunity to engage with individuals who support their efforts in areas outside the “classroom”.  Learning about new advances in traffic engineering helped in efforts to the have infrastructure improved to support students walking and biking to school.   Sessions regarding how communities support new transportation trends helps me stay ahead of the issues that impact our students.  The best part is getting to meet enthusiastic riders and walkers that provide role models for the next generation.  Can’t wait see what I learn this year.” –Karen Briones, Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Safe Routes to School

And if those weren’t enough reasons, there’s still one big one: unless you show up, your voice is missing from the conversation. We want to hear from you and build connections in our local bicycling community, so click here to register. We can’t wait to see you at Summit!
