Kick off BTWD with SVBC Executive Director Shiloh Ballard and other community leaders!

Looking for a fun way to kick off Bike to Work Day? SVBC, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), and the City of San Jose are sponsoring a seven-mile “Movers and Shakers Bike Ride” up the Guadalupe River Trail with local civic and community leaders. VTA General Manager and CEO Nuria Fernandez and SVBC Executive Director Shiloh Ballard will lead the ride, which will begin with remarks from San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, Santa Clara County Supervisor Ken Yeager, and Santa Clara County Health Department Director of Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention Bonnie Broderick.The ride will start at 7:20am in front of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library in downtown San Jose and end at the intersection of River Oaks Parkway with the Guadelupe River Trail. Participants are welcome to join for all or part of the ride.There will be energizer stations and photo opportunities along the way, and the route will be accessible for riders of all ability levels.Join for a great ride!
