SVBC parks over 750 bikes at Sunset Celebration and Tour de Cure

It’s been a couple of busy weekends with the help of some amazing bike parking volunteers!

The month started off with Sunset Celebration Weekend in Menlo Park on June 1 -2. We had two beautiful days of bike riding weather where over 350 cyclists took advantage of our valet bike parking to enjoy the event.

The following weekend, June 9, brought us Silicon Valley Tour de Cure, the American Diabetes Association’s annual fundraising ride. The ride drew a record number of participants. We were ready for the crowd as riders returned exhausted and hungry for their free lunch after the ride. We quickly and efficiently parked nearly 400 bikes in just a few hours!

SVBC couldn’t have achieved this success without the help of our volunteers. So if you like music, and have a couple hours to help park bikes, SVBC, in partnership with the City of San Jose, will be providing bike parking at the following summertime music festivals:

Music in the Park – July 19
Fountain Blues Festival – July 20
San Jose Jazz Summer Fest – August 9-11
