Transportation Choices Summit
The following invitation comes from Stuart Cohen, Executive Director at SVBC partner organization TransForm.
At TransForm, we believe all Californians deserve transportation choices: safe, abundant, affordable, and reliable options for getting where you need to go on foot, bicycle and public transportation.
Sadly, this is very low on the priority list for most of our leaders.
But we can change this together.
That’s why I’m writing to urge you to join me in Sacramento on May 1 and/or 2 for the first-ever statewide Transportation Choices Summit.
Here are five reasons why you should come:

You can attend either day or both days. On May 1, we’ll learn, connect, and strategize. On May 2, we’ll head to the Capitol in small groups with an urgent message to all 120 legislators to pass key bills in support of transportation choices.

We have a fantastic lineup of topics and speakers for May 1, kicking off with keynote Senator Mark DeSaulnier, a true leader and Chair of the Senate’s Committee on Transportation and Housing.

You’ll meet activists like you and organizational leaders from across the state. The California Bicycle Coalition, the American Lung Association, PolicyLink, the California League of Conservation Voters, the California Council for the Blind, MoveLA, and MoveSD (San Diego) are just some of the great nonprofits that are part of the Summit.
