SVBC volunteers park record quantities of bicycles at Stanford football games

Stanford just concluded a season that featured seven home games at which SVBC parked a record number of bicycles this year:

9/19/09 game: 974 bikes
9/26/09 game: 1,002 bikes
10/3/09 game: 1,399 bikes
10/24/09 game: 933 bikes (7:15 pm game)
11/7/09 game: 1,330 bikes
11/21/09 game: 1,314 bikes
11/28/09 game: 548 bikes (Thanksgiving weekend)

Stanford football games are extremely popular, and by providing bicycle parking, SVBC is preventing the potential use of several hundred cars each game.

This couldn't have been done without our volunteers. The following deserve special recognition for volunteering at more than at one game:

Rob Robinson and June Welsh, who worked at all seven games; Jim Manitakos, who only missed one game; Paul DeNies and Kermit Cuff who worked at three games; and Tom Behnen, Diana and Lew Laurent, Albert Fang, Darius Davis, Karl Pingle and Larry Chinn who worked at two games.

The biggest thank you of all goes to Ellen Fletcher for organizing and coordinating the entire season's effort.
