Summit Awards Nominations Open for Professional, Project/Program and Elected Bicycle Champion of the Year!
Do you know an exceptional individual or outstanding project that has made significant strides in creating safer streets within our community? Have you encountered a program or initiative that has enhanced safe and comfortable biking in your neighborhood? Do you know a bicycling champion on a city council or county board of supervisors?
If so, it’s time to nominate your favorite Professional; Program or Project; and Elected Bicycle Champion of the Year for the 2024 Summit Awards!
These awards not only recognize the dedication and hard work of these biking enthusiasts but also inspire others to continue making a positive change. This is your opportunity to showcase their efforts and motivate them to continue their outstanding work.

Shortly after the deadline, we will open a voting form so you can choose this year’s winners.
Award categories
● Professional of the Year – A professional who has strived hard to promote biking, whose efforts go above and beyond to ensure safe and comfortable bicycling. The person may be a city, county, nonprofit, consultant or agency staff working to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety.
● Project or Program of the Year – A project or program which promotes biking and/or makes biking safer. It may be a bike lane (buffered, green, or protected), bike bridge, bike boulevard, bike box, bike parking, bike trail, etc. Or it could be a program that increased the number of people biking, such as an education or encouragement program, a multi-mobility plan, or a bike plan.
AND OUR NEW CATEGORY THIS YEAR:
● Elected Bicycle Champion of the Year – An elected official promoting biking, and whose efforts go above and beyond just calling for safe streets. This elected official has either consistently supported building bike infrastructure and programs or has championed a big project or program this year.
About SVBC’s Bike Summit:
The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition’s Bike Summit is a one-day conference designed to educate the community on key issues related to bicycling in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. It also serves as an opportunity to bring together people working in the field of active transportation and sustainability, including activists, city and county staff, elected officials, business representatives, consultants, non-profit workers, Bike and Pedestrian Advisory Committee members, and more.

Early Bird Registration: Secure your spot at $85 until June 30, 2024, and enjoy discounted access to all the Summit has to offer.
Regular Registration: From July 1 - August 28, 2024, or until the last sales, tickets are available at $100.
Community Partner Registration: Available at a discounted rate of $50, this option is designed to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all members of our community. It is open to local groups, community-based organizations and non-profit staff.
Group Discount Ticket: Gather your colleagues or friends and take advantage of our group discount! Tickets are available for groups of 5 or more at $75 per person, offering even greater savings for your team.
