Spring Membership Drive 2021 Results

One great thing about biking is the amazing community that comes with it. SVBC staff, board members, and volunteers competed in the last two weeks of April to see who could recruit the most members to SVBC. The Spring Membership Drive was especially important this year because Bike to Work Day was transformed into Bike to Wherever Days. While just as fun, Bike to Wherever Days had fewer Energizer Stations than a normal BTWD, which means fewer places for members to join and renew in person. The Spring Membership Drive had the extra purpose of inviting folks to join or renew who normally would on BTWD, but who would be unable to this year.

The competition resulted in 107 new members and 132 renewing members! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the drive and worked to grow the bike movement. Our top member-raiser won a Light & Motion light generously donated by Trailhead Cyclery. Thank you Trailhead Cyclery!

Members make our work possible. Your support enables us to advocate for better streets, to teach new bicyclists how to ride, and to organize fun social rides. As of writing this post, SVBC has 1,754 members, and we are thankful for each and every one of you. Thank you for all you do to support SVBC, and happy riding!
