Changing of the Guard

At the February Board meeting of Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, there was a changing of the guard. After four years in the role of Board Chair, James Lucas has passed the torch to Peter Ingram.James is not going anywhere but has changed careers from bike shop owner to teacher, a new time constraint that hinders board chair duties. SVBC has deeply appreciated the contributions of James as a representative of the industry, tapping into his expertise (and ability to secure auction items for the Dinner at a discount.) Thank you, James!And welcome, Peter Ingram! Peter is an avid bicyclist with a career in both government and the private sector including a stint as the City Manager of Redwood City. He is looking forward to leading the organization’s 2019 efforts around:

• Growing and engaging you, the members and supporters of SVBC
• Helping the organization improve its operations and governance.
• And continuing the organizations work around diversity, equity and inclusion.
