BART offers a competitive salary, comprehensive health benefits, paid time off, and the CalPERS retirement program.Current AssignmentThe selected incumbent for this position will be responsible for a range operational and capital aspects of the BART Bicycle Program under the supervision of the Manager of Access Programs.  The incumbent will work collaboratively with other BART departments, including Procurement, Capital Budgets, Office of the District Architect, Stations Planning, Buildings and Maintenance, etc. to facilitate the planning and implementation of bicycle access improvements.  The incumbent will interact with BART riders, BART staff, bicycle advocates and bicycle program contractors to facilitate bicycle program operations and capital development.The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience collecting and monitoring data to help fine tune operations and anticipate future access improvements for the bicycle program that support BART rider needs and access mode goals
  • Experience evaluating the feasibility and costs of proposed bicycle access capital improvements
  • Ability to research, evaluate and catalog products and services that could be used for bicycle access improvements
  • Ability to prepare space utilization/layout drawings including field verification and measurement for potential improvements
  • Ability to track, monitor and prepare reports for granting agencies and BART capital budgets
  • Project management experience
  • Skill in being a liaison to internal and external stakeholders

Essential Job Functions
