TurningWheels for Kids needs your support

TurningWheels received more requests than ever this year for new bikes from underprivileged kids, and still couldn't fulfill 800 requests. That means 800 children who desperately wanted a bike for Christmas won't be able to receive one and enjoy the many social and physical benefits of riding a bike.

TurningWheels for Kids is asking the community to donate more money to purchase bikes as it gears up for its 2009 Bike Build on Saturday, December 12 when 2,200 bikes will be built in one day by more than 600 volunteers. Just $75 will purchase one new bike. They have enough volunteers to build bikes, but they need more donations to buy more bikes.
