Bicycling skills sourses offered In San José

Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day in the Silicon Valley. I was out and about on my own bike in downtown San Jose, when I ran into a group of riders massing for what looked like a ride around town. About 18 riders were hanging out a city hall when I asked, "What are you all waiting for?". A rider replied, "Waiting for our bike skills class to start."

Oh yes, bike skill classes sponsored by the city of San Jose and taught by John Brazil, Bicycle & Pedestrian Program Coordinator for the City of San Jose. These classes are offered 4 times a year and include the Street Skills and Road 1 course. The Road 1 course also includes the Street Skills class and some class time as well.

These courses will teach you how to ride safer and with more confidence. To learn more contact John Brazil at 408-975-3206 or john.brazil (at) sanjoseca.gov.
