El Camino Real bikeway in Mountain View

El Camino Real is a main access road for many people on the Peninsula, whether they bike, drive or walk. In Mountain View, there are many businesses on this corridor and it is the only through connection linking Palo Alto and Sunnyvale. SVBC would like to see comfortable bike facilities along this route to increase safety for all users. Throughout 2013 and 2014, we have worked as part of the Great Communities Collaborative with Greenbelt Alliance and The San Francisco Organizing Project/Peninsula Interfaith Action (SFOP/PIA) to get a holistic platform included in the El Camino Real Precise Plan, including protected bike lanes on the corridor.
