Bike to the Future 2022 Recap
Just before the 25 mile ride start.
What an epic day of bike riding! While the weather on September 18, 2022 proved to be the biggest challenge for those taking part in our annual fundraising ride, we can’t help but admire the unwavering positivity our community showed that Sunday. Volunteers, riders, and SVBC staff alike all put on a stellar performance! Even with the whipping gusts of wind and sporadic showers, a determined group of riders completed 10, 25, and 56 mile rides adorned with smiles. Not to mention all the folks who signed up and took part virtually! Thank you to everyone who made this ride a success! With your support, we can all make sure the future is bikeable.
See the future with augmented reality. This year we worked with the San José DOT and our friends at Imvizar to add a special augmented reality experience for those on the ride or simply taking part in Viva Calle. The experience will be up until the new bike lanes become a reality, so make sure you check it out if you haven’t. We hope you’ll join our annual fundraising event next year as we explore other parts of Silicon Valley (we’re looking at you San Mateo County) and raise even more money and members so we can make all of Silicon Valley a much better place to bicycle!
