SVBC keeps Maker Faire people powered

That's a whole lotta bikes!

Last weekend, May 22 and 23, almost 1,200 bicyclists pedaled their way to Maker Faire in San Mateo, where SVBC staff and volunteers were on hand to help park their bikes. Despite the strong winds, over 30 amazing volunteers, including eight students from Green Youth Alliance, helped fill the bike corral while the attendees enjoyed $5 off their admission tickets for choosing the bicycle as their means of transportation. That just goes to show that bicycling pays off in more ways than one! SVBC would like to thank all of the hard working volunteers, especially Gladwyn d’Souza, for making this event a success.

Safe and sound with SVBC.
