Bike To Work Day Was a Smashing Success!

Woohoo! Another rousing success!That’s right, this year’s Bike To Work Day was another awesome one. Our staff had an excellent time meeting all of the lovely bike commuters in Silicon Valley, from veteran riders to those trying it out for the first time.Last year, with the help of Energizer Station hosts, we counted 36,000 bike commuters on their way to work in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. We had a goal of seeing 40,000 this year.Well, you blew us out of the water, Silicon Valley. On May 10, 2018 we counted 44,000 bike commuters on their way to work!! Yes, 44,000!!!The number of commuters wasn’t the only record broken. This year we had 107 Energizer Stations in Santa Clara County, beating out our record of 90 in 2017.We couldn’t have done any of this without the help of some seriously devoted volunteers and energizer station hosts.
