What a rush! Over 300 bicyclists and 40 volunteers participated in SVBC’s inaugural ¡Silicon Valley Bikes! 2021 ride. It was a fun time for all with 10, 20, and 40 mile rides, scavenger hunts, neck gaiters, show bike show, photo wall, and the amazing Viva Calle SJ open streets party!

Special thanks to Ed Solis, Viva Calle SJ, and the City of San Jose for throwing such a great open streets party that spanned much of San Jose and entertained thousands!

Our SVBC booth on Barack Obama Boulevard rocked to San Jose Taiko’s beat as they rhythmically pedaled past on their way to Japan Town.

Some found the bit of gravel along the Bay Trail on the 40 mile ride challenging and others found it exhilarating. All found the views beautiful and most explored bike routes they had never tried before.

Lupe our local Mammoth, featured on the 20 and 40 mile rides, enjoyed all the new friends she made.

Participants enjoyed the party, refreshments, camaraderie, prizes, neck gaiter, jersey, and other goodies :-)

We hope you’ll join us at this annual fundraising event next year as we explore other parts of Silicon Valley and raise even more money and members so we can make all of Silicon Valley a much better place to bicycle!
