Community Ride Series Kicks Off This Saturday!

After a deliciously fun ride series last spring, we're excited to be offering more rides to places far and wide!

As you may know, SVBC exists to create a healthy community, environment, and economy through bicycling. And, our vision is to help build a community that values, includes, and encourages bicycling for all purposes for all people. We know there are many obstacles that prevent people from riding a bike and safety is generally the number one concern, so our social rides exist to help new and less experienced riders feel more comfortable on the roads. Riding with others and providing space to learn from more experienced riders is one of the best ways newer riders will build confidence.

So, if you're reading this and you would like to develop your skills and confidence riding your bike, please join us! And, if you're reading this and you're a seasoned rider, please join us AND bring a friend who could use a boost of friendly bike camaraderie. Or, if you're reading this and just want to meet some cool folks who love bikes and engaging in the community, please join us!

Our first community ride for 2020 will be the Celebrate Gilroy! Community Ride Saturday, March 14th. As with all of our rides, this is free, open to the public and is a casual paced loop with a mix of urban riding, trails and culture. Our next ride will be the Lupe Loop ride on Saturday, March 28th. We hope to see you there!

Many thanks to the County of Santa Clara for funding our ride series. We can't wait to explore the county far and wide!
