Programs Team's 2020 Vision - Social Rides and Engagement

The Programs Team’s 2020 vision calls for more social rides, more engagement and more bike visibility throughout Silicon Valley. We’re busy planning our spring calendar with all good things bike related. So, if you like bikes, learning new things, bikes, meeting new people and bikes – you get the picture – read on!

Many of you have encouraged us to have more social fun rides and it’s happening! We plan to roll out dates and themes in early January – rides are free, welcoming, open to all and built with adventure in mind. We’ll be exploring areas throughout Santa Clara County – visiting interesting spaces, places and will surely have treats to fuel the fun. Please be on the lookout for this calendar and join us – we’d love to meet you!

BECOME A RIDE LEADER
If you’re wondering how we sustain all of this – well, we can’t do it without our trusty volunteer ride leaders. You want in on this action? Great! We’re looking for more ride leaders! This is for you if you are comfortable in urban riding situations and have passion to get more butts on bikes. Remember when you were new? Support and encouragement goes a long way – help us do that! You’re sure to feel good about giving back to the growing bike community and it’s likely you’ll have fun and meet some great people, too!

Please contact Allison Greenlee, allison@bikesiliconvalley.org if you have questions.
Or, please go ahead and register here:
Wed, January 8, 2020 – 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Thu, January 16, 2020 – 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Trainings will take place at the SVBC office 96 N. 3rd St. Suite 375, San Jose, CA

● are comfortable and confident riding in urban areas
● enjoy working as part of a team
● are responsible, have good communication skills and are committed to doing good work
● desire a seasonal, flexible job
● could use some extra cash – who doesn’t?
