The Happiest of Hours

The happiest hour of the year took place last week at our Bike Month Happy Hour! Thank you to everyone who came and attended.The Happy Hour was generously hosted by KLA-Tencor at their campus in Milpitas. Thank you, KLA-Tencor!Over 75 local bike advocates and enthusiasts got together to celebrate the joy of bike commuting. Pictures of the event are available on our Facebook page.Bike Month culminated in a record-breaking number of energizer stations and commuters on Bike To Work Day—109 stations and over 44,000 commuters.In addition, this year we introduced the Bay Area Bike Challenge. Using the Love To Ride app, 3,000 bicyclists logged over 500,000 miles in the month of May!Local winners include Andrea Symons, who rode 1,348 miles to win 3rd place in the Top Rider category; Pooches Speedily Pedaling, a team who rode 2,474 miles to earn 3rd place in the Team category; and KT Riders 2, a KLA-Tencor team who biked the most miles out of any team in the Bay Area with a collective 6,724 miles.
