SVBC makes merry in Palo Alto

Many thanks to Palo Alto Bicycles for once again hosting SVBC's Winter Party. Over 70 people showed up and had a great time enjoying each other's company and some tasty snacks from Hobee's.

SVBC Executive Director Corinne Winter gave a brief speech to thank the audience for showing up and to quickly update them on SVBC's greatest accomplishments of 2010 - things like the Diridon Station Area Plan, our new safe highway crossings campaign, and our recent victory in Woodside.

Corinne then brought Stanford football bike-parker extraordinaire Rob Robinson up in front of the crowd to thank him for an amazing job this season. Rob was presented with a certificate of our appreciation, as well as a volunteer mug.

With gratitude like this, who needs a paying gig?

Special thanks to Kathy Durham and Rafael Rius of the City of Palo Alto for helping us set aside plenty of parking space for bikes.

We hope everyone who attended had a great time; we sure did. If you missed the hootenanny, there will be another next year. Just make sure you're an SVBC member. See you next year!
