Join SVBC for the chance to win a new Trek Allant

So, you've been reading SVBC's website, getting the e-bulletin, maybe even enjoying the valet bike parking at local events. Still, though, you haven't become a member. Perhaps you are not tempted by the chance to connect with fellow Silicon Valley bike enthusiasts. Maybe you are not lured by the discounts offered by local bike shops, or the exclusive SVBC parties. And it's possible that the chance to strengthen the voice of the bicycling community does not attract you enough to warrant a $35 membership. Fine.

How about a free bike?

Join SVBC between May 11 and June 6 and your name will automatically be entered into a once-weekly drawing for one of four new Trek Allant bicycles, courtesy of Chain Reaction Bicycles. Old-world style and new-school niceties combine to make this one sweet urban ride.

So get it together and join today! The bicycle is not going to promote itself for everyday use; we need your help. Your $35 makes it possible for us to help promote bicycling, push for increased bike/transit availability, advocate for more bike lanes and paths, and organize bike-centric events and programs like Bike to Work Week, the Bike Friendly Workplace program, and bike safety training. And now, that little $35 contribution might land you a big prize (hint: the bike is worth more than $35).

Thank you to our friends at Chain Reaction Bicycles, and thanks to all of you who are about to join us!

UPDATES: Congratulations to our first winner, Teresa Testa from Mountain View! Follow Teresa's lead and you might win, too.

5/26 - Our second winner has been selected. Congratulations to new member Uri Kogan!

6/2 - Another new member, Erica Stanojevic, has won the third Trek. Congratulations!

7/8 - A very late congratulations to Allan Meyer. Allan won our fourth Trek, and his name went out in the e-bulletin but, regrettably, did not appear in this space until much later. Enjoy the bike, Allan!
