Sunday Streets San Francisco

Join us in San Francisco this Sunday, September 14th, to support California's foray into Sunday Streets. Based on Bogota, Columbia's Ciclovia started over 20 years ago this great community event has become a worldwide trend. Streets will be open to all non-motorized traffic from Chinatown to the Ferry Building, south along the Embarcadero, to the ballpark, and further south on to the Opera House. Use Caltrain or the ample parking provided at Portsmouth Garage. Flat rate parking of $5 for all Sunday Street participants who carpool with three or more and arrive before 10AM.

Let us know what you think of the event. Your comments are welcome as well as other ways to help support an event for the Silicon Valley area. We are planning our own event next year in San Jose and hope to bring the fun to other cities up and down the Peninsula.

This is a great way to bring cycling and other active lifestyle programs to valley residents. Help us bring cycling to a new generation of kids and young adults in a safe, fun, and less intimidating atmosphere.

If you are interested and would like to help support and plan for a similar event in San Jose, please email us at tothestreets@bikesiliconvalley.org.
