Company Bike Challenge Winners!

The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition would like to congratulate the winners of this year's Company Bike Challenge. The competition was tough, and many cyclists took this opportunity to show off their company's team work and coordination.

Overall we have a great turnout, and considering that each team required a novice cyclist there were a lot of new riders going to work with their co-workers, feeling great and realizing the many benefits of cycling to work!

There were three categories for companies to compete in, dividing companies by the number of employees each had locally. The winners of each category are:

Large Corporation – Apple Inc.
Medium Company – REI
Small Business – Friends of Guadalupe River Park & Gardens

SVBC thanks all the companies, teams, and individual cyclists who showed friends and colleagues how viable riding to work is in Silicon Valley.

National Bike Month for 2008 was definitely a fun and rewarding month for cyclists, and we look forward to next year with more challenges, more teams, and more cycling!
