Caltrain Bike Master Plan Update
A draft of the current SVBC position on the Caltrain Master Plan has been available on our website since July 3 (http://svbcbikes.org/advocacy/positions/caltrain-bicycle-master-plan). A members meeting for comments took place on July 10. We have heard many constructive comments, and they will lead to a revision of the document. The next draft will contain stronger language supporting bikes on board. The Board will discuss this issue at its meeting on July 17. If you have comments please submit them via the website contact page or email them to Paul. Also, if you are interested in working on this issue and meeting with local elected representatives, please contact Paul (paul@svbcbikes.org).
If you have personal comments on the plan, you are encouraged to submit them directly to Caltrain at bikeplan@caltrain.com You can read the Caltrain Key Findings document at http://www.caltrain.com/bicycle_master_plan.html. The actual draft plan has not yet been released.
