Make Bicycling Safer - Comment on Santa Clara Bike Plan

The City of Santa Clara Bicycle Master Plan Update 2018 is ready for input.  Everyone who bikes through or to Santa Clara should take a look and plan to comment. The public comment window closes on March 15th. SVBC encourages all our members to look at the plan and submit comments at the public meetings or online. This is a once in a decade chance to create a great plan for active transportation options in Santa Clara. Please focus your comments on a few important goals. For example:

  1. Recommend Santa Clara increase its bicycle mode share goals to 7% instead of 5% by 2026.
  2. Recommend Santa Clara create a vision zero policy by 2021 and vision zero plan by 2022 instead of setting a 2024 target to create a vision zero policy.
