Join SVBC for "Winning Campaigns Training" next month!

Are you passionate about making the world better for bikes but need more tools to be successful? Are you interested in learning how to create change in your community? Then read on! The Alliance for Biking and Walking will be holding a multiday Winning Campaigns Training in Oakland from March 21-23. SVBC staff are planning to attend and we would love for you to join us to learn valuable skills on running campaigns including: setting the right goals, choosing the best strategies, power mapping allies and opponents, communications techniques, fundraising and more! We will be offering a limited number of scholarships for the training registration (accommodations not included).SVBC has recently completed the process of choosing several priority campaigns for our region. We would like to select one or two of these to focus on at the campaign training. If you are interested in working with us on one of these campaigns and becoming a stronger, more effective bicycle advocate, please send us 1-2 paragraphs outlining why you are interested in attending and which campaign you would like to work on.Priority campaigns

  1. Bike/ped bridge over Highway 101 in East Palo Alto
  2. Bike/ped bridge over Highway 101 at Hillsdale Blvd. in San Mateo
  3. Better bicycle infrastructure on Middlefield Road in North Fair Oaks
  4. Bike lanes on El Camino Real in Mountain View
  5. Improving facilities and safety at multijurisdictional intersections of concern
