Bright Lights, Bike City: SVBC's Annual Winter Party

2013 SVBC Annual Winter Party

Your support of Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition gives us a larger voice to advocate for bikes and fosters a community of cyclists that believe that bikes can be the change. We invite you to join us to honor these efforts at "Bright Lights, Bike City," our annual Winter Party in the grand ballroom at the historic Lucie Stern Community Center in the heart of Palo Alto.

We'll be lighting up the night starting with a lighted bike parade cruising the charming streets of Palo Alto, then roll up to the Lucie Stern Community Center ballroom where we'll celebrate the season with delicious food, refreshing beverages, and make a play on hot auction items. Then we'll turn down the lights, turn up the music by DJ QZR and dance under disco lights until they kick us out.

Got amazing bike lights? Show them off in our Electric Light Bike Parade starting at the downtown Palo Alto Caltrain station at 5:45 (timed for the #375 & #370 trains). Route is about five miles along low traffic neighborhood streets. Meet near the bike lockers near Alma Street and Lytton Avenue. FREE valet bicycle parking will be provided at the Lucie Stern Community Center.

Your RSVP is requested so that we know how many will be attending. Space is limited so please click here to RSVP today.

REMEMBER - You must be a current member to attend the party! Want to bring a friend?! If you've let your membership lapse, click here to RSVP and renew yourself online for $20.

Of course, first-timers are welcome, too; new members are always appreciated and can join at the special event price of just $20! Please click here to RSVP and become a member today.

Join or renew your membership by November 24 to be eligible to vote in this year's Board of Directors elections! Voting will also take place at the party. Details on the election will be posted to the SVBC website soon.

Interested in volunteering, bringing a specialty dish or making a donation to the auction? We would love to have your support. Last year a few members brought in their signature dishes to share. Mmm, tasty! If you'd like to do that this year, let us know when you RSVP so we'll be ready. We'll have beer from Gordon Biersch and non-alcoholic beverages available, but if you want to bring a bottle of wine to share, feel free.

We hope to see you all on Friday, December 6!
