You are cordially invited to join SVBC on September 22 for the SVBC Annual Dinner, our largest fundraiser of the year, where guests will have the opportunity to hear from racers at the peak of the sport; bid on auction items including fine wines, vacation packages, bicycles, and quality cycling gear; and enjoy a delicious meal in an elegant setting.
We are fortunate to have as our guest of honor, Jens Voigt, accomplished road racer with a personality to match his flair on the roads. He is well known for his determination and ferocity, as he claimed, “Shut up legs!” in the face of pain. Jens is a two-time Tour de France stage winner, a 5-time overall winner at the Criterium International, and a stage winner at the Amgen Tour of California and the USA Pro Challenge. In September 2014, he attempted and successfully beat the UCI hour record, riding an astonishing 51.110 kilometers, (31.7 miles) during the course of an hour.
We’re delighted to once again be joined by our accomplished Master of Ceremonies, Bruce Hildenbrand – announcer, photojournalist, and cycling expert. Bruce is unique in his combined knowledge of bike racing, connection to the Silicon Valley tech community, and skill as auctioneer.
The Annual Dinner attracts more than 400 guests in support of a healthy community, environment, and economy through bicycling for people in Silicon Valley. Join us this September 22!
