Silicon Valley Bike Summit 2023 — August 24 in Mountain View
Connect with insights and expertise at Silicon Valley’s largest gathering of active transportation leaders and organizers from government, the private sector, non-profits, and the general public. This is THE most information rich event of the year for bicycle professionals, elected and appointed officials, and citizen advocates in and around Silicon Valley. It’s well worth attending by professionals and advocates from elsewhere in the US as well.

We’re thrilled to be announcing during the Summit the results of voting for the highly anticipated Silicon Valley Bike Summit 2023 Awards! These awards recognize outstanding local people and projects that have made significant contributions to promoting bicycling and improving biking infrastructure.
This year's nominations – gathered from the public during May and June, and voted on through July – showcase a wide range of people, programs, and projects across Silicon Valley. The nominations highlight the incredible efforts being made to create safer and more accessible biking opportunities throughout Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. The awards are a chance to showcase their efforts and motivate everyone keep up the good work!
Award categories
Professional of the Year – A professional who has strived hard to promote biking, whose efforts go above and beyond to ensure safe and comfortable bicycling. The person may be an elected official; city, county, or other nonprofit, consultant or agency staff working to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety.
Project of the Year – A project which promotes biking and makes biking safer. It may be a bike lane (buffered, green, or protected), bike bridge, bike boulevard, bike box, bike parking, bike trail, etc.
Program of the Year – A program that has effectively increased the number of people biking. It may be an education or encouragement program, a multi-mobility plan, or a bike plan.

Bike Summit is Silicon Valley’s largest gathering of active transportation leaders in government, the private sector, non-profits, and the general public that come together to talk about the best ways to make our communities safe and friendly for bicyclists of all ages and abilities. Improving infrastructure and policies is the most important way to get more people bicycling.
Sponsoring an SVBC event is a wonderful way to contribute to a safer, healthier, friendlier, more efficient, more economical, less congested, and less polluted community. It also allows you to communicate your company’s commitment to these values as sponsors are recognized in a variety of ways before, during, and after each event.
An excellent way to connect with and have visibility in front of elected officials, city staff, businesses, and community members that are most active in biking advocacy. Sponsors have the opportunity to take on speaking roles in the program. We also gratefully acknowledge sponsors on all relevant signage as well as on our website and via social media channels.

Registration:
Registration is $50 and closes on 8/24/23
* All Summit registrants will receive one year of free SVBC membership.
** Scholarships are available for those to whom the cost of admission is prohibitive; please contact sandhya@bikesiliconvalley.org to apply.

Getting there:
1.4 miles from the Mountain View Caltrain Station. There will be a bike pool starting from the MV Caltrain station to the community center at 8:35am. Stay tuned for details.
