Are you interested in being part of the largest bicycle event of the year, or hosting a fun, interesting bike ride/event in your community?
Bay Area Bike to Work Day is Thursday, May 11, 2017. Tens of thousands of people will be commuting to work, and stopping by the130+ Energizer Stations spread throughout San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. We are in need of volunteers (6am-10am shift on May 11) to staff some of the most popular stations as a representative of SVBC.
This orientation and training will allow you to volunteer at Bike to Work Day Energizer Stations by going over information to make you an expert about SVBC’s programs and advocacy, tabling basics, and standards to spread the word about Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition.
The training will also gather ideas and identify people interested in initiating and leading recreational rides, bike socials, attending bike-themed movies, art exhibitions, etc. throughout the region. These events will be supported by SVBC to make them a success. Tips and best practices to inspire you will be shared.
