Held during National Bike Month, the Ride of Silence is a free, national event that raises awareness to motorists, police, and public officials that cyclists have a legal right to public roadways. The ride is also meant to celebrate and honor the lives of cyclists who’ve been injured or killed while riding on public roadways.
You MUST wear helmets and follow the rules of the road. Remain silent during the ride. (Please no music bikes during this event). We will be riding as one large group. This is a NO DROP, NO Rider left behind ride.
The organizers would also like to encourage riders to wear Red or Black to honor cyclists injured or killed by motorists in the past year.
Co-hosted by volunteers Steve Dakin, Rich Coolman, Daniel Burdick, Frederick Ballo, with support from San Jose Bike Party.
