While we at SVBC pedal through piles of projects, we know we’re not alone – we have generous supporters out there like Kali Protectives who make our work possible.

This month, Kali gave us 500 – yes, FIVE HUNDRED – helmets to use and donate through our various programs!  Their donation couldn’t have been better timed as our Safe Routes to School program needed to replace our inventory of “loaner” helmets for bike rodeos. We also manage several programs where we meet kids who need quality bike helmets – programs like Pedal2Health, North Fair Oaks, and various family biking workshops that SVBC conducts in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

Donating to SVBC is not a new gig for Kali – earlier this year, they delivered 250 helmets, which were given to children participating during the first year of our Pedal2Health program. Seeing the joy of kids getting some of the coolest helmets around was such a treat!

We give our heartfelt thanks to Kali Protectives – these helmets will be keeping kids safe in Silicon Valley!
