Youth - Join the YES Conference Advisory Council

Bay Area Youth - Want to step up and use your leadership skills to make a positive impact for youth throughout the SF Bay Area?The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) would love for you to join the Student Advisory Council and help us plan for the upcoming Youth for the Environment and Sustainability (YES) Conference in February 2018.

What to expect

  • Serve in an advisory capacity and contribute your ideas and skills for the YES Conference planning (twice a month, up to one hour per meeting via Google Hangouts/Skype)
  • Represent the youth voice for your school/neighborhood and other youth throughout the Bay Area

Requirements

  • Live in the Bay Area during the 2017-2018 school year
  • Be between the ages of 12-18

For those appointed to the council, you must commit to serve from August 2017– March 2018.

Perks

  • Accrue volunteer/community service hours. Air District staff can sign off on documents from school or other agencies as necessary
  • Receive public recognition at the YES Conference
  • Gain valuable experience coordinating regional conference
