The SVBC Policy Advisory Committee is responsible for recommending policy positions to the Executive Director and Board of Directors. The Committee establishes a policy framework that guides many day-to-day decisions made by SVBC staff, and makes recommendations on contentious issues. The three SVBC Local Teams may nominate representatives to sit on the Policy Advisory Committee and refer local issues for consideration.
- Works with ED and advocacy staff on various advocacy items.
- Considers local issues for integration into SVBC advocacy strategy.
- Identifies contentious items and brings them to the entire board for vote.
