Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) is a non-profit membership-based organization that seeks to create a healthy community, environment, and economy through bicycling for people who live, work, or play in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. We have a goal of 10% of trips taken by bicycle by 2025. In the past nine years, SVBC’s staff size has grown from one to ten employees, and our impact can be seen across the two counties we serve. Staff Positions

Communications Coordinator
SVBC is hiring a Communications Coordinator to lead our communications and media efforts and assist with other outreach and communications activities that will support our development, advocacy, and programs. This is a newly created position. The Communications Coordinator will create and maintain an active and effective marketing, communications, and public relations program for our organization. If you are an effective and engaging communicator who is passionate about improving our world by making bicycling easier for everyone, this is the position for you!

Internships

We accept internship applications on a rolling basis. All internships involve a 3 month minimum commitment from interns.

Communications and Marketing
The Communications and Marketing Intern is responsible for brand awareness and messaging
within San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. This position will revolve around social media, creative
writing, graphic design, and marketing for SVBC. The Communications and Marketing Intern will work
independently on assigned projects and meet established deadlines in addition to working
collaboratively with other staff members on the communications team to develop plans and strategies.

Events and Fundraising
The Events and Fundraising Intern is responsible for maintaining and developing on going events. This position will revolve around communications with supporters, sister organization, and other duties. The Events and Fundraising Intern works independently on assigned projects and meets established deadlines in addition to working collaboratively with other members of staff, volunteers and individuals of the Development team to fulfill developmental plans and strategies.
