Did you know the world's second largest collection of Rodin sculptures is right here in Silicon Valley? Twenty large bronzes, including Rodin's massive "The Gates of Hell" grace the sculpture garden at the Cantor Center on the Stanford University campus. This is just one of three outdoor art sites we'll visit. We'll be joined by an artist or two for color commentary, and we'll ride, gaze, reflect, chat, and then picnic at the well-shaded tables at the Rodin Garden.
Route: A 10 mile cruise through low traffic, relaxing neighborhoods in Menlo Park and Palo Alto. View the route map (subject to change). Mid-ride starting points are available on request.
Start (& Finish): The Menlo Park Caltrain station at 10:35 AM
Bring: Picnic lunch, water, helmet and lock.
Getting there: Bikes are free on Caltrain. Take Caltrain trains #427 NB & #424 SB timed to arrive at 10:35 AM.
Please RSVP at https://svbc-art-lovers-city-cruise.eventbrite.com/. A small donation is suggested for non-members of SVBC.
