The planning process is underway for a “Downtown Station Area Plan” that will guide future development in areas of downtown South San Francisco, and within a half mile radius of the Caltrain station. Key elements of the plan include: revitalization and enhancement for downtown, moderate intensification of uses, pedestrian and bicycle improvements, and improved connectivity to the Caltrain station and to areas east of US 101. The meeting will be hosted by City leadership, staff, and members of the project’s Community Advisory Group. It will focus on Grand Avenue design ideas, downtown programs and events, pedestrian and bicycle improvements, housing, employment, and land uses. After a brief presentation, attendees will engage in small working groups with other community members to share ideas and provide valuable input for the plan.
