The City of Sunnyvale, in cooperation with Caltrans, is proposing to rehabilitate the Fair Oaks Bride to upgrade the integrity of the structure and widen the bridge to accommodate improved pedestrian and bicycle facilities. In addition to general bridge rehabilitation and widening, the project will include intersection improvements where the bridge touches down at Kifer Road and at Evelyn Avenue. The City and Caltrans will prepare an environmental document for the proposed project to satisfy both CEQA and NEPA requirements.
The public is invited to a scoping meeting, during which interested agencies and the public are invited to help identify the range of issues to be considered in the environmental document. The City of Sunnyvale and Caltrans are coordinating the environmental review for this project. Their findings will be presented in the environmental document that will be prepared.
Scoping comments will be accepted through 5:00 pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2013
