SVBC members interested in the San Jose’s growing trail network (now at
over 50 miles of off-street trails, as well as anyone interested in
supporting trails across the South Bay may want to attend the upcoming Annual
Meeting of SAVE OUR TRAILS.
There will be three interesting and well-informed speakers, all committed
advocates of building out the trail network in San Jose: the Vice Mayor,
Madison Nguyen; the Council Member for the downtown district, Sam Liccardo;
and the Program Manager for the Trails Program in San Jose, Yves Zsutty.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 26th at the new Bascom
Community Center, 1000 S. Bascom Avenue. That’s about ½ mile north of
where the Los Gatos Creek Trail crosses Bascom, or (if you’re coming from
Campbell) take the bike-ped bridge over CA-17, follow Downing Street to
Bascom and turn left for just 100 yards or so.
The meeting starts at 7:00 pm, and the presentations by the speakers are
scheduled to start at 7:30 pm.
It promises to be an eventful evening, hopefully fun as well as informative.
