Maker Faire is a gigantic exhibition of do-it-yourself crafting, building, and exploring in San Mateo. Those who arrive to the Faire by bike get free valet bike parking plus a $5 discount on the ticket price and you don't have to park out in the boonies. Cycling is a very popular way to get to the Faire. SVBC has been providing valet bike parking for the last few years, and 2012 will be no exception.
We need many volunteers! Volunteer bike parking shifts are just two hours and include FREE entry to the Faire. No experience is necessary - you'll learn on-site. Shifts include:
Saturday, May 19
9:30 am - 12:00 pm
12:00 pm -2:00 pm
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
4:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Sunday, May 20
9:30 am - 12:00 pm
12:00 pm -2:00 pm
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
4:00 pm - 6:30 pm
What a great opportunity! There's no way you can resist all that fun; email Gladwyn at makerfaire@bikesiliconvalley.org to sign up. Please indicate your preferred shift and if you have previous bike parking or SVBC tabling experience.
